About Us

Wow! 17 Years of operating Kayak Tahoe and it still seems new. Well, in a lot of ways things are new. River paddling used to occupy a lot of my free time. Now outriggers, stand-up paddle surfboards and surf skis are my passions, in addition to kayak touring. Water and human powered (wind for some) watercraft seems to be the theme for myself and employees. Along those lines we will also be offering some kayaks for rent and sale that have been produced from recycled plastic. While we can feel good about our healthy form of recreation, for us as well as for the planet, there is still much that can be done at the manufacturing end and our retail end to reduce waste. We will continue to look for ways to obtain this goal. In the mean time, you can feel good about putting nothing in the lake but a paddle.
